Personal Writing: Experience At The Mall

Visit 2 stores in the mall. Write a descriptive essay about your experience.

It was an exhausting day shopping at the mall. A few employees greeted me and asked if I needed any assistance. Others let me explore the area and did not limit my options. There are many ways to convince someone to buy something you want.

So that I could compare the way people treated me, I visited a number of stores. Forever Twenty One was my first stop. The rule was to meet customers within 30 seconds of them walking in. I suspect they might have gone too far with this. I was expecting that they would shout, “Welcome at Forever Twenty One. This store is among the cleanest and most organized I’ve ever seen. The staff was dressed in nice clothes, and they watched my every move. My next stop was Footlocker. Here, the policy was to meet the customer within 30 seconds. It took me at most five minutes to find help. The staff don’t normally approach customers in a store that sells shoes while they’re looking around. This could be because the store was busy. The approach of the employee to me was more relaxed when I finally got in touch with him. “Hello what’s your name, what can we do today?” Even though the assignment was for an assignment, I felt compelled to make a purchase. It was difficult to find the right size shirt for you, as customers were looking at different sizes. It was also a relaxed store with down-to-earth employees and customers who were a little inconsiderate.

After all the hard work, it was time to relax. I searched for somewhere to relax and found another shoe shop. Robert Wayne was his name. This small store had many products. The entire store was manned by two people. They were both hard workers. The staff treated me and six other customers well. She asked me if there was anything she could do to help you today. I explained that I was only looking for something and she allowed me to relax for a few minutes. It was exactly what my search was for. Robert Wayne was very nice and the store had music playing throughout to make it feel warm and inviting. All of the most expensive shoes were displayed in the front while the rest of their products were displayed along the walls. A couple of other pairs of shoes were located in the middle, just behind the chair that I was sitting in.

When my shopping day ended, I realized that urban stores made it feel like I was a valued customer. Forever Twenty One was the only place I felt I had to shop because of how closely I was being watched by employees. While I was in Forever Twenty One, I felt that I could relax and let my guard down because of the way the staff was doing it. I believe that shopping in more stores like the ones I enjoyed would bring more enjoyment to your life, as well as the satisfaction of finding something new.
